By accessing or using Yaple at yaple.fun (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. AGE REQUIREMENT

You must be at least 13 years old to use Yaple. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to use Yaple to submit, display, or promote content that:

• Contains hate speech, slurs, or content that dehumanises individuals based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
• Harasses, threatens, or intimidates any person
• Is sexually explicit or pornographic
• Incites or glorifies violence against any person or group
• Is unlawful, defamatory, or violates any third party's rights
• Attempts to circumvent the AI safety guidelines (e.g., prompt injection in custom topics)
• Contains personal information of third parties without their consent

Usernames and custom debate topics are subject to the same restrictions. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules without notice.

4. SUBSCRIPTIONS & BILLING

Yaple offers paid subscription tiers (Pro and Streamer) billed on a monthly recurring basis.

• Recurring charges — your payment method will be charged automatically each billing cycle until you cancel.
• Cancellation — you may cancel at any time via Settings → Manage billing. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period; no partial-month refunds are issued.
• Referral pricing — Pro subscriptions obtained via a creator referral link are billed at the referral rate ($5/month). The rate does not change retroactively for existing subscribers if the referral programme ends.
• Price changes — we will give at least 30 days' notice of any price increase before it applies to your subscription.
• Refunds — except where required by applicable law, subscription payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days.

5. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION & TERMINATION

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate access to the Service for accounts that:

• Violate the Acceptable Use policy above
• Attempt to abuse, scrape, or disrupt the Service
• Engage in fraudulent payment activity
• Repeatedly receive community reports for abusive content

Suspended subscribers are not entitled to a refund for the unused portion of their subscription period, unless otherwise required by law.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Yaple name, logo, design, and platform code are owned by us. AI-generated verdict text and roasts are produced on your behalf during gameplay; you may share them for personal use. You may not copy, resell, or commercially exploit any part of the platform without written permission.

7. PRIVACY

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the AI-generated content is accurate, appropriate, or free from bias.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yaple and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including but not limited to lost profits, data loss, or reputational harm — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced via the site. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

11. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable.
